My wife and I visited this dentistry for a cleaning and exam for the first time. Online registration was straightforward. When we came to the reception, we were greeted by name. The waiting time was less than 10 minutes. The receptionist went through our files to check that the information was correct and asked us to sign the files. So, overall, the registration and check-in were efficient. They have two hygienists (at least), and we have been served in parallel saving an hour, which is a benefit compared to our previous dentistry. Overall very good impression! Thank you FID!read more

Honestly, fantastic and clearly knowledgeable staff. The desk woman was so unbelievably kind and extremely pleasant to speak with. She was able to explain clearly to me pricing and even what my estimated copay would be with insurance - impressive! Came across this dental office by accident. My neighbor who lives in Bates Road happened to mention that she or her Mom went to see Dr. Merzon and they were happy with his service. I called the office and made an appointment straight away. Gail is very pleasant on the phone, prompt in responding to my email and professional. I actually like to go to First Impression Dental! (And I’m getting implants so it would be understandable if I didn’t). The office is in its own immaculate, bright little house. This dental practice was recommended to me by a friend. Even though this practice is not in my network, because of what I needed done, which my insurance doesn't cover, I went out of network. I went for a crown and had a great experience with them! They have this machine that prints the crown right there so the whole process took just 2h. They did their best to accommodate my schedule and Dr. Merzon answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable (as comfortable as one can be on a dentist chair :)). My experience at First Impression was exceptional. A filling had come out of my tooth and I and called here because I couldn't get into my prior dentist, and I had heard and read good things about them. Gail (the office manager/receptionist) answered the phone and was very helpful and friendly -- even more importantly, she got me in on that same day -- just a few hours later! From the minute I walked in the office, everyone was extremely professional and informative. Dr. Merzon took the time to explain what the issue was and how he'd fix it, and then did it all that afternoon. I had a very nice experience at first impression dental. The Receptionist was very nice and welcoming. They saw me right away the first appointment. I needed a crown and Dr Merzon was excellent. I was very apprehensive before he put a crown on my tooth. I felt nothing during the procedure though and he asked me a few times if I was okay. He was very considerate and explained as he went along. It took less time than I expected too! He made the crown right after he prepped my tooth. Three hours later I still have no pain or sensitivity. Very good Job!read more

My last cleaning was 2 years ago at another dentist and since then I developed some stains in the back of my teeth from coffee; the stains are gone after the cleaning :D. What a difference technology makes. especially in the right hands! Original dentist told me cracked front tooth could not be repaired. Could only do one of 2 required implants at a time and would take 2 months. . One set of questions before the visit and another set just after arrival. Of course temperatures screening and separation from all other patients. I recently had work done and it was very thorough. Dr. Dmitry explained exactly what he was doing, made me understand what I was looking at at the x-rays, and put me at ease. He is very knowledgeable in his field. The staff was great, the place was very clean. I saw them cleaning after each visit - every surface, door knob, everything in the rooms. There wasn’t anybody in the waiting room because they have spaced the appointments far enough apart not to have people in close quarters. Everyone had masks on and there were plexiglass barriers to stay safe. He’s a wonderful dentist, and I trust him explicitly. Definitely give him a try if you haven’t already! I’ve had great experiences here. I’m an easy patient so a lot of times dentists or doctors don’t spend that much time on me (which is fine, since I don't have any issues). Dr. Merzon is very thorough. Even though my teeth hasn’t changed since last visit, he will make sure to comment on details to let me know what he’s examining. He’s direct and down to earth, but never shames his patients. (I’ve been to practices where they shame patients for not flossing or brushing enough). Gail is the best receptionist there is. She is very kind, always smiling, very organized, always tries her best to meet patients’ needs, and always makes sure that patients get everything they need today. Really awesome. I’m always afraid of going to the dentist but everyone here is so friendly and kind and down-to-earth that it helps so much. I hadn’t been able to make it to a dentist for a few years, and as a result had a handful of cavities to get addressed. I made four appointments to deal with them in sections, and Dr Merzon was so kind and helpful. He’s very gentle and cares about patient comfort. His assistant Jasmine was very sweet as well, and both of them helped ease any worries or concerns I had. Dr Merzon was honest about what work needed to be done, and I’ve had experiences with dentists who do try to get you to have work done so they can make more, First Impression is absolutely not one of those places. They know what they’re doing and they communicate well. To top it all off the receptionist, Gail, is such a sweetheart. It’s so comforting to walk in and see her at the desk greeting everyone, and she’s just lovely. If you’re nervous about going to the dentist, I can’t recommend these folks enough. I’m still not excited for my dental appointments (who is, haha) but I definitely feel way more comfortable since I know I’m in good hands!read more
