Dental Implants

Dental implants are medical devices surgically implanted into the jaw to restore a person's ability to chew or their appearance. They provide support for artificial (fake) teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.

When a tooth is lost due to injury or disease, a person can experience complications such as rapid bone loss, defective speech, or changes to chewing patterns that result in discomfort. Replacing a lost tooth with a dental implant can significantly improve the patient's quality of life and health.

Our office uses state of the art digital technology to plan and execute implant surgery. All implants in our office are placed fully guided using a surgical guide. Guided implant placement has several advantages over the traditional implant placement:

Accuracy and Precision
The most significant advantage is accuracy of placement. Every step of the surgery is planned ahead of time. Using CT and 3D optical images of the mouth the doctor plans the future position of the implant digitally where it would be best supported by the jawbone, and where it would be best to support the future crown. Surgical guide is then fabricated to guide the implant precisely into the planned position during surgery.

Reduced Risk
Looking at all anatomical structures in three dimensions ahead of the surgery eliminates guessing during the procedure and allows to avoid damaging surrounding anatomical structures.

Reduced surgery time
Surgical guide is used to guide the implant into the exact position. This eliminates guesswork during the procedure and reduces overall surgery time.
